Here’s my offering to you: Take what feels good, right, and true for you, and ditch the rest. These books helped me to discover my “true north”. As I read each one, I found many “golden nuggets” that I added to my own toolbox, and lots that I did not. Combing through the ideas of those who have asked these questions before us gives us rich humus to grow in. Only you know what is true for you, and what is not. “Shoulds and supposed-tos” may serve only to cloud your inherent Knowing.
If you’re drawn to websites like mine, it’s a sign that you’re aware on some level that you’re hungry for more. The shoulds and supposed-tos were very effective in getting you where you are today, and, you’re going to need something different to move you forward from here.
Reading books is great and can serve as an excellent first step. Even if you were to read every personal development book ever written, it would only move you along a small part of the journey. The real change comes from putting what you learn to work.
